For anyone on a quest
for a great rail gelding prospect, the search is over! Smokey's
Midnight Sundust demonstrates the wonderful, old-timey, true walking gaits that
were the goal of breeders during the late nineteenth and early
twentieth centuries. This colt is steady and consistent in his
running walk whether moving freely alone or following his dam in the
field. With proper ground work, his gait training should be simple.
Just miles and miles of riding, as was done decades ago when the
walking horse was Tennessee's ultimate, smooth geared, all terrain
vehicle!
Smokey's Midnight
Sundust
sire is Sun's Smokey Midnight, a homebred Elk River Farms
stallion. Smokey has already established a reputation for offspring
blessed with size, stamina, and strong walking gaits. Smokey is one
of the few Midnight Sun grandsons available at stud today who do not
trace to Pride of Midnight. He is also a sire of sires, as several
of his sons are also in service at present.
Smokey's Midnight
Sundust dam is
Generator's Sweet Pearl, a grey daughter of Generator's Vantage
Point. Pearl is out of the Heritage Mare Echo's Merry Lu, one of the
daughters of Paige's Echo, grandson of 1943 Junior WC Stallion
Society Man. Merry Lu's dam was a daughter of Angel's Go Boy,
and her dam was sired by Sage Fire, a son of Top Wilson. Quest
bloodlines are a blend of old, proven show and using
bloodlines with the modern outcross to Pride's Generator.
