The Tennessee Walking Horse Calendar made its debut in 1985. Our historic calendar was enthusiastically received by the public that first year. The continuing enthusiasm for the calendar has been our motivation to bring you the calendar for over 20 years.

White Horse Farm Salutes the Breeders & their Walking Horses!

The 2008 calendar salutes those incredible individuals of the past whose vision of a perfect saddle horse resulted in the breed we now love and enjoy. A salute also to those who have continued the dream through excellent breeding, training and exhibiting this extraordinary horse. We owe them a debt of gratitude.

Featured in the calendar are: James R. Brantley, who recognized the promise of greatness in the bloodlines of Allen F-1, the little black horse who wouldn't trot under harness, with Roan Allen F 38; Albert Dement, the foremost experimental and outstanding breeder of the walking horse, with Merry Legs F4; Henry Davis, breeder and father of the celebration, with Top Wilson; Floyd Carouthers, great trainer and exhibitor of Nellie Gray; and other great horses.

Unfortunately, this calendar is too limited in size to contain all the great men and women who contributed to the success of the walking horse or all the horses that were such a part of the fabric of their lives.

This is a calendar which we hope will inspire you to match the passion and dedication of those individuals who gave us this outstanding horse.

As always, we will provide the information about each horse, which may help you learn about your horse's heritage. Of course, the Horseman's Record Keeper will also be included so you can keep track of vaccinations, Coggins, worming and shoeing.
